Pat O'Donnell Castlerea Protest![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Solidarity Protest in Castlerea for Pat O'Donnell As Pat O'Donnell continues his prison sentence in Castlerea prison for his opposition to the Shell Corrib gas project a group of supporters held a solidarity protest outside the prison on Saturday. In the video Micheal O'Seighin describes how Pat O'Donnell was given three months of his sentence for 'taking up the Garda's space' as he stood beside a Garda during a protest in Erris. Again contrasting the intimidatory tactics being used against anyone who opposes Shell's gas project in Erris with the softly softly approach the Garda are taking with bankers such as Sean Fitzpatrick whose suspect practises both while at Anglo Irish bank and Dublin Docklands Development Authority helped bring the country to its knees.
