RSF to Stage Prisoners' Action Day on Saturday

RSF are to hold a day of action for Republican Prisoners of War in Counties Dublin and Armagh on Saturday, 9th May.

Republican Sinn Féin will be holding a day of action for Republican prisoners in Maghaberry and Portlaoise Gaols with protests in Counties Dublin and Armagh. Pickets will be held on Saturday, 9th May outside Dublin's GPO and Edward Street in Lurgan.

The Dublin event will commence at 12 Noon and continue until 2p.m. at the traffic island in the middle of O'Connell Street (facing the GPO). The twenty-two men who died on hunger strike since 1917 will be commemorated.

The Lurgan event will commence at 2p.m. Monaghan Ard-Chomhairle member Fergal Moore will be the main speaker. The event is being held to demand the restoration of political status for Republican PoWs.
